I was in Hong kong last week... Great trip... went together with my aunts, cousin, my mom & baby sister..
Day 1: to Hong Kong 6.50am JetStar flight 3K695. Reach HK Int Airport at 10.30am.

We took the airport express to Hong Kong, and change to MTR at 中环 then to 湾仔. my cousin arranged our lodging to be at wanchai.. terrible to be.. it's small & smell of bleach..
Hunger invasion: lunch at 龙门(点心)
Food was okay but ex..
Hong Kong convention center (Photo-op time)
Lotsa of photo taking...

Knowing that Hk Convention center has free internet access, quickly we look for another hotel at 尖沙咀:Stanford Hillview. The hotel was on top of the hill at Knutsford terrance. oh boy, poor us, carrying big luggage, pulled the bags up...
After resting for awhile, we had dinner and then walked to Avenue of Stars (星光大道), more photo-whoring..

then we make way to the peak, took the tram up, supposingly to be 20 mins, but seems to reach within 5 mins. Ha, cheaters...

ending the day, we took a minibus to 中环, and took the MTR and walk back to the hotel.
Day 2: Children's Day at Ocean Park(海洋公园)
waking up at 6.30am but left hotel at 7.30am, due to 6 women using 1 washroom to bathe & wash up.. poor me always the last to use to bathroom. breakfast was good at 轻松一下. then we took the MTR to 中环 again & took a bus to 海洋公园.

we left ocean park to have lunch, so we went to stanley market & walk a bit. a lot of caucasians there, more than the 黄皮肤 people. then we move to 浅水湾. i've been there on my last trip to HK in 2001. nice place.. it has changed quite a bit since then.

Being girls not married yet, we are kinda determined to find our MR.Right, so hug on to the 姻缘石.

after all the merry-making, we went to Ladies Market at 旺角. did a little shopping, then being tired, we left for the hotel for some snoring...
Day 3: 大舆山 (268 steps to the 250tonnes buddha)
woke up at 6am to get to Lantau island. cannot make it lah, everyday wakeup so early. so me & ting slept thru out the bus journey from the mtr to lantau island, while clariss kept a lookout for the bus stop.
frankly speaking the buddha is magnificent! and the vegetarian food is even more awesome.
wrapping up, we went to 皇后大道西 to get the medicated oil recco by my mom's colleague.. it's DA far from 上环 MTR. really pissed, to walk really far.
we had tea break in a HK style 茶餐厅. after which my aunts start to buy the 海味. think they really spend a lot of that. we went back for a bit of food nearby and us, the young girls went to ladies' market & shopping malls nearby for more shopping.
Day 4: 敬香entourage
first stop:车公庙. 车公, a army general during the sung dynasty. was well received by the villagers in this area because of his obvious love for them and his medical knowledge. After his death, he was raised to the status of a deity because he had saved the inhabitants of the Sha Tin Valley from an outbreak of the plague; the villagers dedicated a temple to him at Ho Chung in Sai Kung.

Stop no.2: 黄大仙. Quoting DiscoverHongKong.com
"If you have a long-standing wish that's yet to come true, perhaps the place to visit is the Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple where, provided you make an earnest plea to the gods, "every wish can come true" - or so it is said.". Well, I do not know how true it is, but from the 签 I had 求 for, the words of 黄大仙 seems to be quite true.

we went to 太子道 for teabreak at 丽都. Meal was dimsum. おいしい!then headed back to hotel for a bit of rest, cos my dear baby sis 水土不服.
later in the evening, headed out for dinner nearby Nathan Road. me & clariss walk a bit of the streets on 尖沙咀. the temperature dip low to 15degrees. 寒いね。
Day 5: Last day in HK. 13 degrees & big big wind!
headed to 大围, to buy 老婆饼. farking cheap for the freshly baked pastry ~ HK$15 only! bought 10 boxes. less than SGD$35..
after check-out at 3pm, we left our luggage at the hotel and left for some last minute shopping. only then, we bought a lot of stuff.

We departed Hong Kong at 8.10pm and only reached Singapore at 11.55pm. the trip was great, but maybe 5 days was too long, didn't do a lot of planning in advance. and i most regrettable is not going to Lan Kwai Fong for a bit of nightlife.
