mixed criteria

I have a very strict criteria for friends. But I do not expect that others to keep to that criteria as me. It is okay to be more sociable, but do remember some people are deceiving or to say that they are despicable. They can do anything to get what they want.

Discussion arised with a fellow colleague on how some climb the coporate ladder. It is not to my personal habit that I do extra things or out of the job procedure. But I noticed that people who do that get better remarks from other people. Of cos, it does benefit the company. But to people like me, we find that doing extra job, is simply a waste of time. I don't know but it is funny sometimes that I'm not sure that I'm envious or jealous or even angry of these people.
